Your mind has its own algorithm!

Don't you love it when you are able to accomplish a big goal, and all your dopamine is released? Why wait till the end? 

It's the pursuit of rewards! As you reach a milestone, reward yourself. You are taking active steps in the right direction. You would be able to lean into anything challenges. Stress was design to move us. Dopamine can help push back on the sensations to quiet.


Ex) Goal: Run a mile

Day 1 : set your shoes by the door

Day 2 : go out of the door and around the block

Day 3 : Go for a run 2 blocks  

Today is the shoes at my door, tomorrow is going around the block. You know you are in the right direction. Keep the end in mind, but not be delusional. 

Your body uses stress to help it navigate. You are more likely to do more things when it feels good. So break down your big goals into small achievable tasks, and reward yourself when it is completed. When you accomplish something, pause for a moment and tell yourself you are headed in the right direction! 

The ability to control these inner rewards is everything!
